A matchup between heavyweight contenders Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Cain Velasquez, originally scheduled for UFC 108 on January 2, is now being targeted for February’s UFC 110 in Australia, according to MMAjunkie.
A severe staph infection forced Nogueira to withdraw from UFC 108 earlier this month, but the former heavyweight champion recovered quickly after undergoing treatment in the U.S. and hoped to meet Velasquez at the UFC’s Australian debut.
UFC 110 takes place on February 21 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia and is co-headlined by Wanderlei Silva’s middleweight debut against Michael Bisping.

... The bout was originally canceled due to Nogueira contracting severe staph infection for the second time in a year, leaving Velasquez without an opponent. With Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar's battle with illness there was talk that Velasquez would get matched up with Shane Carwin, possibly for an Interim Title, but the UFC has instead gone this route.
The 110 card is shaping up nicely with this bout and Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping at the top of the card.
