But the native of Delaware, who now resides in Japan, is considered one of the best female fighters in the world, and she has a 13-4 record, including six straight wins, to prove it. FanHouse spoke to the very excited Modafferi, who faces Marloes Coenen on the CBS undercard Saturday night, about her emotions heading into the biggest fight of her life, her 2007 victory over Coenen, and life in Japan. EA Sports announced during a Friday press conference in Chicago that top Strikeforce fighters Brett Rogers and Jake Shields will be featured in the company’s “EA Sports MMA” video game, which is slated for a 2010 release.
“Fedor vs. Rogers” has nearly sold out, with a crowd of approximately 10,000 expected to be on hand for the CBS-televised event at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
